There is a lot of cost that plays a part in keeping a Fully Volunteer Fire Company up and running. Not only is the cost of fire apparatus between $200,000.00-$750,000.00 but the maintenance of the vehicle is very pricy as well.

       Along with the purchase of a fire apparatus, you need to stock the vehicle with all the necessary tools individualized for each vehicles specialties. The average price for equipment for one piece of apparatus is around $80,000.00 not to include wear and tear on this equipment as well.
